Brenda Eaton

Brenda Eaton

Since 2003, I’ve worked in Public Special Education, becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to better support children. Over time, I realized something was missing.

While the medical model helps identify needs and access services, I shifted toward a social model, I began exploring the Science of Happiness, Positive Psychology, and Executive Function. This helped me focus on strengths, not just struggles.

Through this journey, I’ve developed greater compassion, connection, and self-awareness. I believe that with a positive, values-based mindset grounded in mindfulness, kindness, and gratitude, we can build resilience and truly thrive. That’s why I created Grow Your Happy—to empower neurodiverse individuals and families to grow through a strengths-based lens.

Differences and challenges are part of the human condition. Grow Your Happy is here to help neurodiverse kids and their families to rethink their mindset, build lasting happiness, and bounce back stronger when life gets tough.

Applied Behavior Analysis

Grounded in the principles of ABA, a comprehensive framework for understanding and improving behavior, our approach empowers neurodiverse learners to build meaningful skills through positive reinforcement, individualized goals, and data-informed strategies.

We blend structure with empathy—using tools like Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) to support emotional regulation, flexible thinking, and resilience. Each plan is tailored to nurture growth, independence, and confidence while honoring the learner’s unique strengths and path to success.

Personalized Coaching

Applied Positive Psychology

Applied Positive Psychology (APP) offers powerful tools to support neurodiverse learners by emphasizing strengths, values, and individual potential rather than deficits or limitations.

By integrating evidence-based strategies such as strengths-based goal setting, solution-focused dialogue, and resilience-building practices, coaching empowers neurodiverse individuals to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether navigating executive function challenges, building self-confidence, or enhancing motivation, APP provides a practical framework for cultivating self-awareness, autonomy, and well-being.

Neuroscience-
Based

Neuroscience provides valuable insights into how the brain functions, learns, and adapts, particularly in executive function skills for neurodiverse learners. It helps identify unique patterns, allowing for targeted interventions that improve executive function.

Mindfulness-based strategies support neuroplasticity by promoting structural and functional changes in brain regions associated with executive function over time. (Hölzel et al., 2011; Tang et al., 2015). These changes contribute to improved attention, cognitive flexibility, and emotional regulation, reinforcing adaptive neural pathways over time.
